Blood Sugar Drops Recipe

This simple recipe is designed to help stabilize blood sugar levels when they drop unexpectedly. It’s easy to make and can be a lifesaver when you need a quick pick-me-up.

Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon of honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon of almond butter or peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup of rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup of unsweetened shredded coconut
  • 1/4 cup of chopped nuts (such as almonds, walnuts, or pecans)
  • 1/4 cup of dried fruit (such as raisins, cranberries, or chopped dates)
  • 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon (optional)
  • Pinch of salt

Directions:

  1. In a medium-sized bowl, mix together the honey or maple syrup and almond butter or peanut butter until well combined.
  2. Add the rolled oats, shredded coconut, chopped nuts, dried fruit, cinnamon (if using), and a pinch of salt to the bowl. Stir until all the ingredients are evenly coated with the honey or maple syrup mixture.
  3. Using your hands, roll the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter. If the mixture is too dry to stick together, add a little more honey or maple syrup.
  4. Place the balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
  5. Once firm, store the blood sugar drops in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.

These blood sugar drops are perfect for keeping on hand for emergencies or as a quick snack to help maintain stable blood sugar levels throughout the day. Enjoy!
