Homemade Ice Cream with Only 3 Ingredients Recipe

This recipe is perfect for when you’re craving a delicious and refreshing treat, but don’t have a lot of time or ingredients on hand. With just 3 simple ingredients, you can whip up a batch of homemade ice cream in minutes!

  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream, cold
  • 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract (or to taste)
  • (Optional) ½ to 1 cup of your favorite mix-ins (chocolate chips, chopped nuts, fruit, etc.)

  1. In a large bowl, using an electric mixer, beat the heavy whipping cream on high speed until stiff peaks form. Be careful not to overbeat, or the cream will turn into butter!
  2. Gently fold in the sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract with a spatula until just combined. Be careful not to deflate the whipped cream.
  3. If using mix-ins, fold them in gently at this time.
  4. Pour the ice cream mixture into a loaf pan or airtight container. Cover and freeze for at least 4-6 hours, or until firm.
  5. Let the ice cream soften slightly at room temperature for a few minutes before scooping. Enjoy!

  • For a richer flavor, use full-fat coconut milk instead of heavy whipping cream.
  • Get creative with your mix-ins! Try chopped cookies, cocoa powder for chocolate ice cream, or swirl in some fruit puree.
  • If you don’t have an electric mixer, you can whip the cream by hand, but it will take longer and require more effort.
  • For a creamier texture, whisk the ice cream a couple of times during the freezing process to break up ice crystals.
