Homemade Ice Cream with Just 3 Ingredients Recipe

This recipe is perfect for when you’re craving a delicious and refreshing treat, but don’t have a lot of time or ingredients on hand. With just 3 simple ingredients, you can whip up a batch of homemade ice cream that’s sure to satisfy!

  • 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream, cold
  • 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract (or vanilla bean, scraped)

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract until well combined.
  2. In a separate bowl, using an electric mixer with whisk attachment, whip the cold heavy whipping cream on high speed until stiff peaks form.
  3. Gently fold half of the whipped cream into the condensed milk mixture. Once incorporated, fold in the remaining whipped cream until just combined. Be careful not to overmix, as you want to keep the air in the whipped cream for a light and fluffy texture.
  4. Pour the ice cream mixture into a loaf pan or airtight container. Cover and freeze for at least 6 hours, or overnight, until firm.

  • For a richer flavor, use full-fat (heavy) whipping cream.
  • If you don’t have vanilla extract, you can substitute 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla bean paste.
  • Get creative with add-ins! Once you’ve folded in the whipped cream, gently fold in your favorite mix-ins like chocolate chips, chopped nuts, fruit, or cookie crumbles.
  • To prevent ice crystals from forming, try breaking up the ice cream every few hours during freezing with a fork.
