  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced (white, cremini, or a mix)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish, optional)

  1. Heat the butter and olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the mushrooms and cook, stirring occasionally, until golden brown and tender, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Add the garlic and cook for another minute, until fragrant.
  4. Stir in the heavy cream and parmesan cheese. Bring to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the sauce thickens slightly.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley, if desired.
  7. Serve immediately.

  • You can use any type of mushroom for this recipe, but white, cremini, or a mix of both are popular choices.
  • If you don’t have heavy cream, you can substitute milk or chicken broth. However, the sauce will be thinner.
  • For a richer flavor, you can add a splash of white wine to the pan after the garlic has cooked.
  • This recipe is easily doubled or tripled to serve a crowd.
