Fluffy Condensed Milk Bread Recipe

This recipe yields soft and fluffy bread with a hint of sweetness from condensed milk, perfect for breakfast or a snack.

  • 500g bread flour
  • 7g instant yeast
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 50g sugar
  • 250ml warm milk
  • 100g condensed milk
  • 50g unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash, optional)

  1. Prepare the Dough:
    • In a large mixing bowl, combine bread flour, instant yeast, salt, and sugar.
    • Make a well in the center and add warm milk, condensed milk, and softened butter.
    • Mix everything together until a rough dough forms.
  2. Knead the Dough:
    • Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and knead for about 10-12 minutes until the dough is smooth, elastic, and slightly sticky.
  3. First Rise:
    • Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover with a damp towel or plastic wrap, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1-1.5 hours, or until doubled in size.
  4. Shape the Dough:
    • Punch down the risen dough to release the air.
    • Divide the dough into equal portions (usually 8-10 pieces).
    • Shape each portion into a smooth ball and place them on a lined baking tray, leaving space between each roll.
  5. Second Rise:
    • Cover the shaped rolls with a damp towel and let them rise again for about 30-45 minutes, until they have doubled in size.
  6. Baking:
    • Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
    • Optionally, brush the risen rolls with beaten egg for a shiny finish.
    • Bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes or until they are golden brown and sound hollow when tapped on the bottom.
  7. Cooling:
    • Remove the bread from the oven and let it cool on a wire rack.
  8. Enjoy!
    • Serve warm or at room temperature. These rolls are delicious on their own or with butter and jam.
