Cheesy Garlic Bread Recipe

This recipe is the perfect way to satisfy your cheesy cravings! Crispy bread smothered in garlicky goodness and melted cheese, it’s a side dish that can easily steal the show.

  • 1 large loaf of crusty bread (French bread, Italian bread, or sourdough all work well)
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3-4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ teaspoon dried Italian seasoning (optional)
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish, optional)

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Slice your bread in half, horizontally. This will create two open-faced halves for maximum cheesy goodness.
  3. In a small bowl, cream together the softened butter, minced garlic, Italian seasoning (if using), salt, and pepper.
  4. Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over both halves of the bread, making sure to get all the nooks and crannies.
  5. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and Parmesan cheese generously over the buttered bread.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. If you prefer a crispier top, you can broil the cheesy bread for an additional 1-2 minutes at the end.
  7. Once golden brown and delicious, remove the cheesy garlic bread from the oven and let it cool slightly before slicing. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley, if desired.
  8. Serve warm and enjoy!
