Baked Potatoes Recipe

This recipe is a classic and easy way to make delicious baked potatoes.

Ingredients:

  • 4 Russet potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • Optional: Black pepper, butter, your favorite toppings (sour cream, cheese, chives, chili, etc.)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit (220 degrees Celsius).
  2. Scrub the potatoes clean and dry them with a paper towel.
  3. Use a fork to poke several holes all over the surface of each potato.
  4. Rub the potatoes with olive oil and sprinkle generously with salt.
  5. Place the potatoes directly on a baking sheet or on a wire rack set over a baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 45-60 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the skin is crisp. You can check for doneness by piercing the potato with a fork – it should slide in and out easily.
  7. Remove the potatoes from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before cutting them open.
