Bacon Ranch Pasta Salad Recipe

This classic pasta salad is perfect for potlucks, picnics, or a side dish for any summer meal. It’s packed with flavor from the creamy ranch dressing, crispy bacon, and your favorite veggies.

  • 1 (12 ounce) package uncooked pasta (rotini, penne, shells, or your favorite shape)
  • 8-10 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 (1 ounce) packet ranch dressing mix
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup chopped vegetables (such as cherry tomatoes, red onion, celery, or green pepper)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup milk (optional)

  1. Cook the pasta according to package directions. Drain and rinse with cold water to stop the cooking process.
  2. While the pasta is cooking, cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Drain on paper towels and crumble.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sour cream, ranch dressing mix, garlic powder, and black pepper.
  4. Add the cooked pasta, crumbled bacon, chopped vegetables, and shredded cheese to the dressing and toss to coat.
  5. If the salad seems dry, add milk a little bit at a time until it reaches your desired consistency.
  6. Cover and chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving. Enjoy!
